Hardly a soul was there so we (almost) had the pool to ourselves, except for two teenagers. Afterwards, we had a nice chat with Jeffrey at the bar. He's from the Philippines and we mentioned the places we'd be visiting there next year. We also had some lunch. I had a slice of pizza and a Cobb salad. Angie ordered from Ocean Now and had a chefs salad and a hot dog. All very good. The food variety and quality has been very good on the Sun Princess. Except for the missteps at The Catch, I've enjoyed all the food. After lunch it was time for a mandatory rest period back at the cabin.
Dinner tonight was at Love By Britto. It's a collaboration restaurant between the Princess Executive Chef and Romero Britto the Brazilian artist, painter and sculptor.
If it's not obvious from the pictures, the theme is love. From the decor, to the music, to the wines and each course. Some great food. I especially loved the tuna tartare and the mushroom soup. The salad was cleverly designed and tasty.
And the chocolate lava cake was one of the best I have had. It was filled with raspberries to balance the flavors.
And each of the petit fours brought some new flavor. One was spicy. Another sweet or chewy. My favorite meal of the cruise.
After dinner we headed to the Piazza to hear a set from Mockingbird. They are the new band on board that replaced XCite who disembarked in Barcelona. They played crowd favorites including a mini Beatles set. Lots of great harmonies!! Then it was time to head to the cabin.
Tomorrow is a sea day and we won't be getting off the ship. I expect the pools will be very busy so we'll try to find more quiet places. We'll try to have dinner at O'Malley's Pub.
