Prior to dinner we went to O'Malley's on Deck 7 which is the Irish bar/restaurant. It's a new venue on Princess Cruises. They have a three piece Irish band called Full Tilt playing there. I imagine if they were Scottish they might be called Full Kilt. They were amazing and we'll be catching their sets whenever we can. They played their own version of Dolly Parton's "Jolene". I didn't realize until then how perfectly suited that song is to have an Irish "tilt". After their set we walked across the hallway to Princess Live which had been "converted" to "Laugh Lounge" which is a comedy venue Princess is trying out on Sun Princess. We saw Carlos Oscar who we have seen a few times on other Princess ships. We both find him very entertaining. His jokes are about human experiences.
Then it was time for dinner. Some good dishes of antipasto, roasted tomato soup, roasted chicken and grilled salmon.
All very good. As usual, no dessert. We then headed to the Pizza on Deck 7 to play "Port of Starboard". This is essentially the game True or False where everyone stands in the middle of the room. A question appears on the large video screen with two possible answers, one on each side of the screen. You then walk to whichever side you think has the right answer. Last person standing wins a prize. We didn't win but it's always very fun and a great way to get a lot of people to participate.
It was then time for one off the main production shows. Princess has a new venue called "The Dome" which is a glass dome on Decks 17 and 18. During the day it's a pool area. But at night it transforms into a stage area.
Tonight's show was Art Beat which had.some amazingly talented acrobats!! After the show we headed to the Pizza to catch a set from the party band XCite. They played some crowd favorites. It was then time to head to the cabin.
Today is a sea day. We will attend a talk on our first port of call Bar Montenegro. We don't have any tours planned so we'll see if the talk provides some suggestions. At noon we have a Tuscan wine tasting lunch at Sabatini's, the Italian restaurant. And at 4 PM we will be learning how to play the spoons at O'Malley's. Full Tilt needs our support!!
