Made it to ATH and on our way to the hotel in Piraeus!! That's about a fifty minute drive. It was our first time flying Aegean Airlines and we upgraded to Business class. Many European airlines don't have a dedicated business class cabin on shorter flights. Instead they reserve the first few rows of the airplane as Business Class and leave the middle seat open. It was a great experience!! Similar leg room to the Delta Comfort Plus product. Had a very good meal of chicken with a lemon sauce.
There was also a nice olive tapenade and for dessert an excellent pistachio baklava.
And some very good Greek wines.
It was nice to land and not have to adjust our clocks. When we landed in EDI we had to go five hours ahead. TOS was another hour forward and HEL yet another. ATH is in the same zone as HEL. Of course on our next part of the adventure I expect a couple of time changes.
