Today we are in Marseille France. We took the cruise shuttle bus to town. We started with a visit to the Musée des civilisations de l'Europe et de la Méditerranée. This is an eclectic museum with large collections of different "stuff". It also had a very large exhibit on Naturism in France and how public nudity has been used as a protest for other special causes. The coolest part of the museum is that it's connected to a Fortress and its gardens. It also overlooks the marina where they'll be holding the Olympic sailing in about a week.
We headed back to the ship and stopped in to a church we passed along the way. Again, not California Dreaming!!
And then after that we stopped and had some French Rose and Charcuterie. Can you say you've been to France and not had a French Rose?
We then caught the shuttle bus back to the ship. Dropped some things in the cabin and then headed to get some salads and ice cream on Deck 17.
We made it to O'Malley's for dinner!! Artichoke and Crab Dip, Scotch Egg, Grilled Pork Chop and Roast Chicken. We tried desserts of Boozy Brownie and Guinness Seven Layer Chocolate Cake. All very good. For the pork chop presentation, apparently they felt one piece of pork wasn't enough so they included a sausage and three slices of bacon!!
