After packing our suitcases, we went to our final happy hour and had some tasty BBQ meatballs and chatted with Rolan, Prenab and Jonathan. The main theater show was a collaboration of the Princess Orchestra, the production cast singers and the lead singers from the cover band Extasea.
The theme was music from around the world. Princess still continues to be the only large cruise line I've sailed that offers so much live music like this collaboration. Fantastic show!
After dinner we got seats at Explorers Lounge to see the Glam Band and their Tina Turner tribute. Normally they had been playing in the Wheelhouse Bar. Not sure why the CD decided to move them to the smaller venue. The lead singer really embodied the best of Tina, singing all the crowd favorites. My favorite was their version of "River Deep, Mountain High". That song always brings me goosebumps. Such a classic!! The only issue with their set is the new venue apparently caused some confusion for the sound technicians. The levels were all different so it was hard to hear the backup singers and the keyboard was non-existent. But still a wonderful set list as tribute.
After that it was back to the cabin. We had an early wakeup call today. We disembarked at 7:35. Through Danish immigration by 7:40 and into our taxi by 8:00. We arrived at our hotel and put our luggage into their luggage room. We now await the start of our food tour which starts at 10:30. The meeting place is about a ten minute walk from the hotel. The forecast calls for showers most of the morning. What do they (sometimes) say? There is never bad weather, just bad wardrobe choices. We're prepared!!
