Bornholm, Denmark

Today we docked in Ronne Bornholm about 8:30 AM. We started with some room service breakfast of coffee, tea and Princess Egg Muffins. While Angie filmed her ship tour, I was at the pool deck checking out the port. Soon it was time to head into port. We took the complimentary shuttle bus into town and walked into the downtown area. There was a local market happening with so many food vendors. We had a Fisherman's Beer and sat at one of the tables.
Then we walked towards our next destination, Torvehal. This is best described as a delicatessen that also had a coffee shop. They also had some of the beer from local brewery Small Batch Brewery
We ordered a charcuterie platter which came with rustic bread, olives, sun dried tomatoes, potato chips, manchego cheese, parmesan, salami and smoked ham. All very tasty with our pilsner and IPAs from Small Batch. After our snack, we headed back towards the ship, stopping at "Texas" which promoted itself as "good American". We had a delicious rose cider from Finland and a brown ale from Small Batch. Both were good but the cider was our favorite. Both were a combined 130 DKK (~$19 USD). I loved the napkin holders here. Each one had a different hand written saying. They were glad we came.

On the way back through the local market, there was a bandstand setup where a young woman was singing. Based on the schedule, SommerLiv had musical acts every weekend. Such a fun town!!! We tried catching the shuttle bus back to the ship but our timing was off. So we walked about half a mile back the ship. Almost 10K steps today!!

On the way back we found a small diner in the middle of the industrial port. Literally nothing else around it except various tanks. And the diner had a children's playset. And we also saw a deconstructed windmill.
Bornholm is going to try wind power for the first time. These will be assembled out in the Baltic Sea.
