Valentine's Day 2023

We had a great start to the day with a champagne breakfast on your balcony. It was an extra charge. We just happened to time it right as we were sailing out of Ensenada. The room service waiter did such a nice job setting it with a table cloth. We were dressed, but we put on our robes for fun and a little extra warmth.

After watching sailaway, we headed down to the theater for the Aloha Farewall show. Some of the passengers spent the two weeks learning to play the ukulele or do the hula so this was their big show. It was so much fun to watch. We observed a couple of the hula classes so it was fun to see it come to life.

We spent the afternoon in the room while I worked on some videos. We did our normal circuit for snack dinner: Vines. Bien snuck us a couple chocolate covered strawberries.

Club Fusion. Gusti, our waiter in Club Fusion wanted a picture with us to send to his wife. It was really sweet.

We stopped back to Vines to say goodbye to Bien and Ronnie. We hope we see everyone again.

The ship started rocking a bit more so we decided to head up to the cabin. We are glad we did because it got a bit rougher after we were safely in bed.

This morning was very easy. We left our cabin around 8:30 am. Finding the luggage and winding our way off the ship took about 15 minutes. We had facial scan for customs and immigration was fast. The Blacklane driver was right there. We took the 35 minute drive to our hotel: Portofino Redondo Beach. We were able to check in early. We have a great view of the harbor and a colony of seals.

We had lunch at Captain Kidd's Fish Market. Glenn had shrimp tacos. I had the fish tacos. They were both very good. We went for a walk around the harbor. We found several restaurants that look like great choices for our lunches and dinners over the next couple days. Very exciting. Tonight we have reservations at the hotel's restaurant; Baleen.
