We had a great excursion in St Maarten. We did Adventure St Maarten - an amazing race type challenge. We got paired up with Dani and Brett - a couple in their 30s from Michigan It was so much fun. We had three physical challenges, three puzzles, and several clues to walk around the little downtown area. The race part took 2 hours. The finish line was a restaurant where we had to complete a trivia based on what we saw during the race. Here's Glenn doing the beach bowling challenge:
We came back to hang out in the Solarium with lunch from the buffet. It was very relaxing. Dinner was 150 Park. It's supposed to be the "nice" restaurant. Glenn's scallops appetizer was not good. My beet salad was okay. The short rib appetizer and sunchoke veloute were great. Glenn had the venison and liked it. I had the halibut - it was perfectly cooked, but aggressively seasoned. I had the cheese plate for dessert. It was very good. After dinner, we enjoyed sitting on the "sidewalk" in front of the wine bar in Central Park listening to the guitar player. The wine bar did not have any of the wines we wanted to try so we stuck with Whispering Angel Rose.
The show was Intense in the aquatheater. It was incredible - high divers, spring board divers, synchronized swimmers, and aerialists. Very fun.
