July 2017

We took the two weeks of July to do a your of the Midwest visiting friends and family and then ended with a trip to Los Angeles for D23 - the Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

The trip started in Indy to celebrate my parents' 45th wedding anniversary. We rented a limo and had a nice dinner. It was a great few days hanging out with the family and our niece and nephew. Then we headed to Chicago, Northwest Indiana and Grand Rapids, MI.

It was so much fun seeing everyone. We took some time for sightseeing in Grand Rapids. We can't pass up a Presidential museum and then we took a beer tour around town. Brewery Vivant and Holland Brewing were our favorites.

Then it was off to LA for D23. That is quite an event. We weren't expecting waiting 2 hours each day to get inside. After a lot of perseverance - we were lucky and got into the Disney Parks presentation. We also saw some fun panels on different Disney shows and we enjoyed our quick day at Disneyland. I think in the future - I'll just watch the Disney Parks presentation online.  We also got to check another baseball stadium off our list: Anaheim.
