I worked in the morning then we headed to Galaxy Pavilion
for an Escape Room. It’s $15 per person and really well done. We picked the Animals
room. We had a family of 3 with us – a Dad and his adult children. The room
worked really well for a group of strangers. You can find eight idol pieces within
the room so we could all be working on our own puzzles. It was interactive and
fun. We solved it with 13 minutes to go.
We went to Metropolitan and lost at trivia by two points! We were so close. Lunch was in Hudson’s – one of the main included restaurants. We had a great table by the window.
The food and service were great. I really like
the Asian spare ribs. The tomato soup was delicious – one of the best I’ve had.
Great roasted tomato flavor and very creamy. The butternut squash risotto was a
miss. It didn’t have a lot of butternut squash flavor. We shared a Thai steak
and noodle salad that was great – just the right amount of spicy. The Smash Burger
was terrific. Brioche bun with a Big Mac-type sauce.
After lunch, we passed through the Platinum party. It was
really nice. Lots of officers were there. They were passing drinks and cheese
and crackers. A duo played live music.
We headed to Vibe Beach Club. I loved walking in at 1 pm
with lots of open seats. We found a day bed in the shade. Michael provided
great service. It was very relaxing. I finished a book.
For dinner, we headed back to Hudson’s. I had the coconut shrimp, beet and watermelon salad, and the Buddha Bowl. All three were great. We tried Belvedere Bar. Jason, the bartender, was hustling. He was so fast and yet people were still super rude. They had these cool bottled cocktails.
Someone in
the back mixes up a big batch of a specialty cocktail and pours it into these
cute bottles. Then, the bartender only has to pour it. We tried the one with
bourbon and the one with gin. They were both very good.
We got good seats for Summer – the Donna Summer musical. It
was terrific. Kimberly Locke played the older Donna and was terrific. The
younger Donna was incredible. After the show, it was cool to watch the theater transform
into a nightclub. The crew came out, folded down all the theater seats, and
then the seats moved back into the wall like bleachers.
